Dr. Cheryl Cooper, CISSP, CISSA, is an Information Security Specialist at Sprint Corporation. Experienced and committed technology management professional with over 20 years of successful experience of impacting corporate performances and meeting corporate goals. She has extensive experience with developing security awareness by directing development of orientation and training programs, as well as counseling clients on information security and compliance.

Dr. Cooper is also an Adjunct Professor at Webster University. Her mission is to be an innovative educator for all users that are connected to the Internet.  She has spoken at events and conferences such as the Women in Telecom Conference following the event of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Centers, speaking lessons learned. She has spoken at the International Engineering Consortium conference on the advantages and disadvantages of various types of Wide Area Networks, and at University of Kansas she spoke on strategies to integrated Cyber Security into K-K12 curriculum to prepare the next generation of security professionals, and has been invited to speak at a host of security and technology conferences/events.

She serves as a member of the Park University Management Information System (MIS) Advisory Board as a security expert, providing industry perspectives and opinion on curriculum content.  She also serves as the Vice President of the Information System Security Association (ISSA) for the greater Kansas City area.
